Comprehensive Health Monitoring For Rat & Mouse
Provided by Charles River Laboratories, the Health Monitoring program offers panels designed for both routine surveillance of your animal colonies and for diagnosis of disease.
The panels include:
1. Microbiology
the screening of respiratory and enteric cultures for bacterial species that are primary or opportunistic pathogens.
2. Parasitology
the microscopic examination of the pelage and skin as well as the dissection of the enteric organs to observe ectoparasites, protozoa, and helminths.
3. Pathology
a post-mortem examination of the animal along with histological evaluation of gross abnormalities.
4. Serology
the tesing of serum for the detection of antibodies to viruses.
